Guiding Principles
This forum is intended to be a welcoming discussion space for developers working with Akamai’s services. Please act professionally. We’ve created this space to encourage developers like you to engage in informal but professional conversations. We want this to be an informative, fun, pleasant, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. You can choose to use your real name or a made-up username. We do require all users to include their organization and position title. This is a forum to discuss, collaborate, and share knowledge. It is NOT a formal channel of support. For support issues, speak to your account manager, or open a support ticket.
Be Respectful
- Be respectful to your fellow collaborators. This includes but is not limited to:
- Respecting how members of the community want to be addressed (i.e. no deliberate misgendering or use of ‘dead’ or rejected names)
- Honoring community members’ requests to keep conversations private or public
- Don’t post illegal, harmful, hateful, or offensive use or content and don’t threaten community members with violence.
- No advertising or spam.
- Stay on-topic.
Be Safe
- Don’t expose any information that is a potential security compromise to you, to your company, or to Akamai. (See Moderation / Ban criteria below)
- Remember, most areas in the community show public-facing information. Please don’t share information from one-on-one conversations publicly.
- Portions of this site include user-generated content and advice. You’ll find an abundance of helpful content here, but be aware that your situation, configuration, or implementation will be different from others.
- Help look after your community. If you notice content within the community that does not abide by these guidelines, please click the Report Abuse link to report it to our moderators. The community is here for the benefit and enjoyment of members like you, and we appreciate your help maintaining high standards that benefit everyone.

- NO DUPLICATE OR REPEAT POSTS. If no one answers your question or responds to your post, please “bump” it rather than posting it again.
- USE APPROPRIATE TITLES.
- NO ADVERTISING/SPAM or SOLICITATION.
- This forum is here solely for the express purpose of supporting current and future users of Akamai technology. Posts advocating or denigrating the use of a competitor’s product are deemed inappropriate and we reserve the right to delete such posts/threads at our sole discretion.
