If you’ve been keeping an eye on our Green Light discussion space, you’ve probably seen our beta participation poll that included a little teaser that we have something to share soon. The time has come to reveal the news: we’re launching a brand-new set of Green Light badges! These new badges will allow you to show your dedication for beta testing right on your profile.
The new badges fall into 3 categories:
- Beta participation count badges: If you participate in our betas, you’ll get a badge and you can reach new levels depending on how many you participate in. Everyone starts at level 1 with a program participation badge, but starting with level 2, each badge level has a unique design and a fun name to go with it.
- Beta type badges: Each beta falls into a particular category, such as Data Center, Storage, or Networking. Each category has its own design to show your interest and expertise.
- Bug count badges: The more bugs you report, the higher your rank will appear alongside the “bug spotter” badge.

Participated in 30 betas | This badge is granted to Green Light members who have participated in 30 betas. |

All bug spotter levels have the same badge design, a green bug inside a hexagon with a light blue and orange border.

With the launch of these new badges, we’re starting from scratch, so that any Green Light member has a chance to start climbing the levels. The only badge that you will see on your profile, starting out, is the Green Light Program Participant badge. This badge counts as level 1 for the beta participation track.
We’re currently manually checking for badge eligibility of forum members. If you’re eligible for a badge but don’t have one, yet, let us know by replying below, and we’ll reach out to you.
